Sic Transit Tempus

Sic Transit Tempus…

And in the dark the forms grow bright,
And slips fixed time as I resolve,
To see past shapes inform the night,
And once again myself involve.

To hear the sounds no longer there,
And seek to say – I still do know
The past, the present, now do share
The thoughts, the moves, of a time ago.

And meld those times in a singular
And breathe alive those days gone by
And change to then, who now we are
To live again what in us lies –

Till dark light leaves at light of dawn
And time returns….; And all is gone.
